“It is He who sits above the circle of the earth, And its inhabitants are like grasshoppers, Who stretches out the heavens like a curtain, And spreads them out like a tent to dwell in. “ Isaiah 40:22
Why Me?
See the earth’s expanse.
The thought is so great.
In God’s own timing.
He spoke to create.
Today, here I am
In this universe,
With stars and planets,
Which God dispersed.
Did He think of me
When He made this place?
Did His love shine bright
On His perfect face?
Did He send His Son
When He saw my plight?
When evil abounds,
Do tears fill His sight?
May I shine His light
In darkness and death
Until the earth ceases
And takes its last breath.
If God is big enough to manage the canvas of the moon at sunrise, He is big enough to handle tomorrow. He does not want us to worry about the burdens of this world. He already holds it in His hands and has created this space for us to live in. Step outside and see the canvas of sunrise or sunset. Remember that the same God who stretched that canvas knows your name. Breathe out your worries and breathe in peace.
The moon retreats before the rising sun.
A quiet sign of God's great majesty.
This vast expanse lies in His mighty hands
Yet in His greatness, He remembers me.
