Part Two
Proverbs 3:9-26

This week we will list ways we can honor God.
1. With our material goods (verses 9-10)
Honor the Lord with all that you have, you possess, With all of your produce and then you will be blessed. So your barns will be filled with all kinds of good food. Your vats will overflow with new wine to include.
How we manage our money shows whether we want to serve the Lord only with our mouth or also with our substance. We must look for opportunities to be a giver. What has God promised? His abundant blessings!

2. With patient correction (verses 11-12)
My son, do not despise the Lord’s chastening voice, Nor detest correction, but instead, now rejoice. For God loves but corrects, just as a father would, Who delights in his son and helps him, as he should.
When we fail to trust God, there will be consequences, but we are to thank Him for the opportunity to grow in godliness. God is like a father who helps his children with firm discipline.

3. With knowing wisdom’s value for all people (verses 13-18)
Now happy is the man who finds wisdom and gains Understanding of My words; much profit he’ll obtain. Wisdom’s proceeds are better than silver and gold, More precious than rubies, better than all you hold. All the things you desire cannot compare to her. She holds your length of days; in her riches occur. All her ways are pleasant, and all her paths are peace. She is a tree of life; hold on and don’t release.
Spiritual wisdom brings happiness and is of great value and worth. It is far more valuable than what the world can offer. We can hold on to the tree of life if we are living according to God’s wisdom. What a promise!
