Wanderers in the Wilderness

Psalm 107:1-9

Psalm 107 is a call to worship.  It is a call to the people of God to remember all the ways He has rescued and will continue to rescue.  We need this today.

Give thanks to the Lord.
His goodness is sure.
His love and His Word
Forever endure.

Let the redeemed speak,
Those saved from their foe,
Those gathered from lands,
East, west, high and low.

Psalm 107:1-3

Let the redeemed speak.  Share your story of what the Lord has done for you.  Tell how He saves, rescues, and guides.  He is worthy of all praise!

A photo from our 2014 Israel trip

Masada is on the edge of the Judean desert, between Ein Gedi and Sodom.  The cableway climbs 843 feet to an ancient fortress of Herod the Great.

Some wandered along
In desert wasteland,
Not finding a way
To a place they planned.

They were all hungry,
Thirsty, in despair.
Their lives ebbed away.
Is hope anywhere?

Are you wandering in the desert feeling lost and looking for spiritual food and water?  Looking for something to give your life purpose and meaning?  Cry out to the Lord.  He can lead you out of the desert and into a safe city.  Wherever our journey leads us, Christ will satisfy every need.  “Wherever He leads I’ll go.”

Then they cried out to
The Lord who provides.
In their great trouble
He rescues. He guides.

He led them along
By a straight pathway,
To a safe city
Where they could all stay.

Ancient Jerusalem
Let them give their thanks
To the Lord above,
For His mighty deeds
And unfailing love.

For He satisfies.
The thirsty He meets
And fills the hungry
With good things to eat.

Psalm 107:4-9
