Thank You for Rain

Praise the Lord, O my soul
For You, My God, are great.
You are clothed with splendor.
Majesty You create.
He wraps Himself in light,
As with a garment worn.
He stretches out heaven
Like a tent. It is born.
He established the earth.
Its foundation is set.
It can never be moved.
God will never forget.
He waters the mountains
From His uppermost room.
The earth is satisfied.
His work bears fruit and blooms.
When You send Your spirit
It commands and creates.
You speak and You renew.
The face of the earth awaits.
May the Lord’s glory stand
And forever endure.
May the Lord find great joy
In His works so secure.
I will sing to the Lord.
To God I will sing praise.
For as long as I live,
My meditation raise.
Praise the Lord, O my soul
Praise to the Lord above.
Honor and glory too
To the God whom I love.
(Based on Psalm 104)
Psalm 104:13 paints a vivid picture of God, watering the hills from His “upper chambers” to nourish the earth and satisfy all creation. God cares daily for His wonderful creation. We are reminded of that when He sends rain. God is the divine Gardener, planting, growing, sustaining with every raindrop.
Just as the earth depends on rain, our lives depend on God’s grace. It calls us to recognize His provision in the beauty of nature and to trust in His daily care. Where do we see His provision for us today? How can we express our gratitude for His constant love and care?
“Lord, thank You for Your faithfulness, which is as constant as the rain. Just as You water the mountains and satisfy the earth, I know You care for my needs. Help me to trust in Your provision and to see Your hand in all of creation. Amen.
