Ephesians 2:10 says the we are God’s “handiwork” – His masterpiece. Our purpose as God’s handiwork is to perform good works that bring glory to Him. These works have been planned in advance by God, specifically designed for each of us to accomplish. Our faith should not be merely an intellectual exercise but should result in tangible expressions of love and service to others. What is your work, your gift that God has given you?
When we think about our failures, we may be slow to accept how much God loves us and that He desires to use us in service to Him. But God doesn’t love us because we deserve love; He loves us because He is love. His love is one of grace, and He showed the depth of it when he died on the cross for us. God’s love is pure and constant. He does not change. He loves the imperfect, the broken, the weak and those who make mistakes. When we fall He’s there to lift us up. We are His treasure and we are beautiful to Him. Thank Him for His love for you.
