Artist Makoto Fujimura takes broken pottery and pieces the shards back together with lacquer, threading gold into the cracks. The broken vessel becomes even more beautiful than the original. This reminds me of how God artfully restores us and makes us entirely new, more beautiful and unique.
Like a potter's hands God perfects all that's wrong. He works with mankind To make us bold and strong. He takes broken lives And with beauty restores. Fashioned; made like Him, For His Spirit outpours. Be whole; be complete. Believe and be made new. God will mend your heart. He knows what's best for you. When time is no more, Eternity fulfilled, A new heaven and earth God's miracles will build. "I will make all things new," God utters the truth. All broken will be healed, All people, old and youth. Yes, all will be new. Restoration complete. God is faithful and true, So, we bow at His feet.
As we survey our shattered lives, there is no need for despair. God is working His beautiful restoration. Within this is our hope.
