Come; let us return to the Lord For He has torn, but He will heal. He has stricken, but He will bind. He will revive, and He will seal. We’re sealed as His chosen people. He’ll raise us up on the third day That we may live in the Lord’s sight. Let us know Your will and Your way. Let us pursue the Lord’s knowledge. He will surely appear and bring The sun that rises each morning And the rain in winter and spring. Repent then and be lifted up For He will return very soon. Look forward to the Lord’s coming. It may be morning, night, or noon. (Based on Hosea 6:1-3)
Hosea is praying for Israel to return to God and be forgiven and restored. There is also a shadowy prophecy of Jesus’ resurrection on the third day. Jesus was torn and stricken on the cross, but now He heals and binds up our wounds.
"The Lord builds up Jerusalem; He gathers together the outcasts of Israel. He heals the brokenhearted, and binds up their wounds." Psalm 147:2-3
When we pursue the knowledge of the Lord, when we read and study His word, we are blessed. He will revel Himself to us. He will come to us like the sun and rain. The faithful sun that gives us light and warmth and the refreshing rain that brings a fruitful harvest.
"The path of the just is like the shining sun, that shines every brighter unto the perfect day." Proverbs 4:18 "He shall come down like rain upon the grass before mowing, like showers that water the earth." Psalm 72:6
Christ is coming again. I believe it will be soon. “Seek the Lord while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near.” Isaiah 55:6.
