He Will Come to Us Like Rain
"Let us acknowledge the Lord; let us press on to acknowledge Him. As surely as the sun rises, He will appear; He will come to us like the winter rains, like the spring rains that water the earth." —Hosea 6:3
Come; let us return to the Lord
For He has torn, but He will heal.
He has stricken, but He will bind.
He will revive, and He will seal.
We’re sealed as His chosen people.
He’ll raise us up on the third day
That we may live in the Lord’s sight.
Let us know Your will and Your way.
Let us pursue the Lord’s knowledge.
He will surely appear and bring
The sun that rises each morning
And the rain in winter and spring.
Repent then and be lifted up
For He will return very soon.
Look forward to the Lord’s coming.
It may be morning, night, or noon.

The redbud tree outside my window is full of purple buds. The daylilies are a bouquet of bright green, waiting for the buds to appear. Yes, spring has arrived and it reminds me of God’s presence in every season. He comes to us like the spring rain that waters the earth and causes all things to grow. Bursts of green catches our attention everywhere. We have made it through another winter!
Christ appears to us every day as we pray, read scripture, and He guides us to apply what we learn to our lives. His love enables us to love and serve others, which is the greatest commandment. We look forward to Christ’s return and pray we will be found faithful.
Today, may we recommit ourselves to the Lord, who loves us as surely as the flowers bud in the spring.
