Snow is a reminder of
God’s manna from above,
Falling still upon the earth;
A picture of His love.
Fill us with the bread of life.
Satisfy our thirsting too,
As we come to heaven’s table,
God’s Word forever true.
Snow is a reminder of
White linen in the tomb.
Christ suffered for the sins of man
And rose again so soon.
Wash us until we become
Whiter than the snow.
Jesus paid the price for us.
His forgiveness now we know.
Snow is a reminder of
The fields of white we see,
Harvests of lost souls on earth.
Can they see Christ in me?
Give us Your power, love, and strength
To fight each battle for You,
And draw every man to know You, Lord.
Every word You speak is true.
Snow is a reminder of the pure, white horse,
Carrying our Savior, faithful and true,
Riding to conquer evil and death.
Heaven’s open for me and you.
Praise God, who is coming to gather His children
And take them home to stay.
Eternal and free to praise and adore,
Our Savior and King every day.
Snow began to fall yesterday, quietly and softly, and continued throughout the night. This morning it is a white blanket, covering everything. Its beauty reminded me of this poem I wrote many years ago. It not only reminds me of manna, linen, the harvest of souls, and Christ’s second coming, but also of God’s character. His holiness, love, grace, glory and His peace is seen in every snowflake that creates this beautiful picture. I watched the earth transform into a beautiful white, a reminder of the how our faith transforms us and makes us whiter than snow.
"Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow." Psalm 51:7
