Our Future and Hope

Posted on November 8, 2024 by ruthbillingsley
For I know the thoughts
I think toward you,
Not thoughts of evil
But peace that is true.

Thoughts for your future.
Blessed hope I will send,
A future of peace,
And an expected end.

Then you will call Me;
You will come and pray.
I will listen to you;
I will answer and say,

" You'll find me when you
Search with all your heart.
I will bring you back
And give you a fresh start."
(Based on Jeremiah 29:11-13)

Everyone needs a fresh start, a new beginning. The Lord knows the thoughts and plans He has for His people. These plans are not of harm but of peace and hope for a prosperous future. This passage provides encouragement and hope for those facing difficult situations:

  • God’s plans: God has plans for people that are for their welfare, not evil, and that will give them a future and hope.
  • God listens: God listens to His people when they pray.
  • God can be found: God allows His people to find Him when they seek Him with all their heart.
  • God is present: God is with people wherever they are and can do great work through them.
  • God’s promises: God makes promises that are good and intends to fulfill them.

The passage is a reminder that Christians inherit the promise of blessings through faith in Jesus Christ.

The passage is a reminder that God is with people, no matter where they are, and that they can create good wherever they are.

The passage is a reminder that God’s promises are not a promise to immediately rescue people from hardship, but rather a promise that God has a plan for their lives.

What plan does He have for you? Read the Bible everyday and God will speak to you, guide you, and give you a future and a hope.
