Yesterday was Rue’s 13th birthday. She was born on my dad’s birthday, so she honors him with her middle name, LaRue. The name LaRue is associated with friendliness. It is of French origin and means “the street.” Many famous streets in France are called “rue” which reflects its unique identity. Our Rue also has a unique identity. She is a blessing to all who meet her. She is fun loving, animal loving, and nature loving. Happy Birthday, Rue!

She has now become a rodeo participant. She competes in barrel racing, western pleasure, pole bending, and other speed racing competitions, and enjoys riding in parades. She loves the outdoors and occasionally goes fishing with me. She attends Haas Hall with her two sisters and is in the 7th grade.

Shout for joy to the Lord.
Shout for joy all the earth.
Gladly worship the Lord,
And display His great worth.
Come now with joyful songs,
And know that He is Lord.
It is He who made us,
Not of our own accord.
We are the Lord’s people.
We are His flock of sheep.
Staying in His pasture
Our safety He will keep.
Enter His gates with thanks.
Enter His courts with praise.
Be thankful to the Lord
His name forever raise.
For our Lord God is good.
His love will long endure.
Through all generations
His faithfulness is sure.
(Based on Psalm 100)
