In the beginning was the Word. He was with God from the start. The Word was God, holy and true. His love to fill every heart. Through Him all things were created. Without Him nothing was made. In Him was life, the light of men, A light that will never fade. His light shines bright in the darkness. This light will show men the way. Darkness will lead to confusion, So, He guides men who will pray. See Him! He is the Lamb of God. He has come to save from sin. Remember all these words of John And renew your faith within. (Based on John 1: 1-5)
Today, I am thinking about beginnings, the beginning of creation, the beginning of a new year, 2024, and the beginning of another opportunity to read through the Bible. It can be done easily by reading three chapters a day in the Old Testament and one chapter a day in the New Testament. The Bible is filled with promises on how God can change your life when you study His Word—“Meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.” (Joshua 1:8). It’s never too late to start regularly reading Scripture.
These words from John 1 encourage me to renew my faith and seek new paths in my 2024 journey. We are always allowed to have a fresh start with a God, who knows every detail of the days to come, who was there from the beginning, and will be there for us to the end. May we travel along the path of life and delight in the blessings along the way. I look forward to discovering new joys in my journey with faith and anticipation.
