Psalm 100

Shout for joy to the Lord. Shout for joy all the earth. Gladly worship the Lord, And display His great worth. Come now with joyful songs, And know that He is Lord. It is He who made us, Not of our own accord. We are the Lord’s people. We are His flock of sheep. Staying in His pasture Our safety He will keep. Enter His gates with thanks. Enter His courts with praise. Be thankful to the Lord His name forever raise. For our Lord God is good. His love will long endure. Through all generations His faithfulness is sure.
As we approach this Christmas season, we want to take time to reflect on how good God is. How should we respond? We should honor Him with praise, song, shouts, worship, serving, love, honoring, adoring, magnifying, celebrating, and glorifying.
We shout for joy as the earth shouts for joy. We see the shout of sunshine; fields, mountain, and rivers; colors of the seasons; summer heat, winter cold, wind, rain, and snow; grass, stone, and flower. As we recognize our wonderfully created earth, we should all shout for joy.
"If we fail to praise God, the stones will cry out alone." (Luke 19:40) Let joy open your mouth in praise. Our Christmas gift to God is a grateful heart. Make a gratitude list. Be joyful this Christmas!
