Joshua 1:8-9
This book of the Law Shall not depart, Never from your mouth, Neither from your heart. You shall meditate All day and night. You’ll observe each word And do what is right. If you do it all And seek God’s will, All that is written, His words, you’ll fulfill. Then you will prosper And have success. God has spoken. Be strong and progress. You will have courage. Do not be afraid. Be firm in faith And never dismayed. The Lord is your God. He’s now with you Wherever you go, Whatever you do. Then the people said, “All You command We’ll obey and go, For in faith we stand." We will have courage, Forever strong. We will run the race And sing our battle song.
Be strong and courageous! God warns us that hard times may lie ahead, but it is also a promise. God will be with us wherever we go. Yes, God has a plan. It is to call His people to obedience. Life without Christ is a time of darkness and defeat. This is the state of the world today. But we are to have courage. Courage to live our faith. Do what is right. Do we have challenges? Of course, but Christ promises victory in our battles because they are His battles. He will fight for you! Put on your armor (Ephesians 6:10-18) for protection, but let God fight your battles.
"For the Lord your God is He who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies, to give you the victory." Deuteronomy 20:4
