How can I love Jesus best? By showing His love to all, Being His hands and feet; Listen to the Spirit’s call. Wherever I may travel, Who might He want me to love? Help me look outside myself, And see like You, from above. Love lifts me outside myself; No self-interest will abide. Jesus inspires my soul. He’ll teach me, and He’ll guide. My head and my heart are one. They work together for good. When I open up my heart, My mind will think as it should. Always be kind to others. Rejoice when others are glad. Help those who are in distress And comfort those who are sad. Be mindful, not indifferent. Be friendly, not set apart; Forgiving, not judgmental; And brave, no fear to impart. Be giving, not self-absorbed; Smiling, not grumbling inside. Look at the one before me. Do I see needs and provide? Here are many ways to love As Jesus would want me to. His love cost Him everything And will lead to what I do. Care for the hungry. See and fill a need. Keep your promises. Plant and sow a seed. Slow down, pause, and stop. Make time for others. Say a prayer for them, Their sisters, brothers. Encourage a friend Or make a new one. Take time to listen. Find errands to run. Be considerate. Don’t ever be late, Thinking of others And when they must wait. Leave every place clean, Better than when you came. Pick up all the trash; A helper, your aim. Donate a Bible Or mentor someone. Think, “Pay it forward.” Good deeds can be fun. Support a mission. Help a church leader. Give to a food bank. Serve as a reader. Visit a widow. Say thanks to a friend. Teach a skill you have. To a neighbor, lend. How can I love Jesus best? These thoughts become my actions. When my focus is on Him, Not on selfish distractions. Watch, listen, and obey. Remember what Jesus said. Love your neighbor as yourself, And by His Spirit be led.
This poem speaks for itself. We serve a living Jesus who is love. His commandment is simple but deep. Love one another as He has loved us. People today live for themselves. Be different! Be a masterpiece for Jesus. A true picture of His hands, feet, and voice.
