Romans 12:9-21
Let love be truthful, Show who you really are. Hate what is evil, Never near, keep it far. Cling to what is good. Be kind and be caring. Show brotherly love. Help and bless with sharing. Judge others worthy, Honor them above all. Strive in all you do, For idle men will fall. Be fervent in spirit. Let your heart lead your hand As you serve the Lord, Obeying His command. Rejoicing in hope, Patient when in distress, Continue in prayer, See others’ needs and bless. Bless those who hurt you. Do not curse when you’re mad. Rejoice with the joyful And weep with the sad. Be of the same mind Toward one another. Desire for yourself, Your sister, your brother. Do not set your mind On high things of this earth. Befriend the humble, Be meek in your own worth. Don’t repay evil. Have regard for good things. Live in peace with all, The peace that God can bring. Don’t repay a wrong. But on the law rely. For it is written God’s judgment will apply. Therefore, heed My words. On your enemy think, If hungry, feed him, If thirsty, give a drink. For in so doing You will heap coals of fire All over his head, Then remorse will transpire. Don’t be overcome By wrongdoing and sin, But conquer evil With goodness within.
What is love in action? Meeting the needs of others – physical, emotional, and spiritual. Pray for opportunities to make a difference in someone’s life.
