Physical darkness can be a dangerous thing but not nearly as dangerous as spiritual darkness. We live in a world of darkness and sin, but the light of Jesus brings us to understand truth. His light exposes how thing really are: the sin in our lives, the evil in the world, and the way out of the darkness. Once things become visible, the ways of God are easier to understand. We can’t understand or live for Jesus without being able to see the light of Jesus.
Ever since the brightness of heaven flooded the hills of Bethlehem; and the far-off twinkling star guided Eastern wise-men to the new born King…Christ has been the Light of the world, and we have celebrated Christmas with colorful lights.
As you light up your Christmas tree this year, remember the light that Christ shines in your heart and in the hearts of all believers. Is yours shining so that everyone you meet will see?
