Week Nine
Building Faith
Direct my every path, Lord. Let me trust in You. Not my own understandings, But Yours are ever true. Build up my faith, Lord. Your character is pure. Your promises unfailing; In You, I am secure. Sure of what I hope for; Certain of that not seen. Faith is knowing You, Lord. I want to draw close and lean. Lean upon Your mighty arms, Until I’m one with Thee. My faith becoming stronger, And Your glory I can see.
Faith rises above our circumstances and lays everything we are and everything we have at the feet of Jesus. Faith is not an intellectual belief; it is a wholehearted belief that has actions. Actions of trust in who God is and what He tells us in His Word. God is sovereign. God is wise. God is love. His Word is true. We live by faith, not feelings. We walk in the light of faith when darkness and troubles come. God always walks the path with us and draws us close with His mighty arms. This is what calms our anxious hearts.
