Forgiveness Forgiveness is never easy And many times it takes awhile. Why is it difficult for some To turn and walk that extra mile? The Lord forgives every sinner, The ones who have turned back to Him. If only we could do the same, Be forgiving when others sin. Christ clearly sees you and He cares. His eyes express His hope and love. So look around and pray to see The peace that will come from above. Don’t turn your back and walk away When you are going through the pain, But look on others as Christ does, Serving them, their love to regain. When others hurt you and cause pain Look to Christ’s love and you will see It’s you who needs to take that step And become forgiving and free.
We are commanded in scripture to love one another, to serve, be kind, and be tender hearted. When we obey these commands relationships bring joy to our lives. Yet, at times, when we interact with one another we can feel disappointment in the way we are treated. We may experience rejection or hurt feelings.

Jesus felt rejection, disappointment and hurt, yet He modeled forgiveness. Jesus commands us to be forgiving. He knows what is best for us.
Forgiveness is not a feeling. It is a secret choice of the heart. We can trust God, and we can control ourselves with His strength. We can do our part to pursue peace in our relationships. That brings contentment. That brings calm to our anxious hearts.
