Week One
My Journey to Contentment
Philippians 4:11-13

Thank you God For the way you teach. Through your word and others My heart you will reach. You help me to find Contentment and peace. I’ll rest in your arms. In you I’m complete. Complete to be Happy and free. In all circumstances Your strength in me.
“Calm My Anxious Heart” by Linda Dillow is a twelve-week bible study that I was a part of in 2001. I wrote this poem during that bible study and found it to be a guide to finding contentment. In the following weeks I will share poetry about contentment and pray it will help those who have an anxious heart.
Contentment comes from within as we trust God and give Him control over all of life’s circumstances. Let His power and strength be your power and strength and let Him calm your anxious heart. Do you lack confidence?
“For the Lord will be your confidence, and will keep your foot from being caught.” Proverbs 3:26 (NKJV)
Trust in Him, for you are His child. Put your confidence in the Lord and He will keep you safe and secure and help you in times of distress, danger, and difficulty.
God is the blessed controller of all things.
