The Lord Himself is God, Therefore, know it this day. Treasure Him in your heart. Believe and obey. He is God in heaven And below on the earth, For there is no other, So great is His worth. Keep all His commandments, All of His statutes too. He commands us each day And will see us through. Throughout every day Put all your trust in Him, Whenever times are good Or the day seems grim. Follow the Lord your God That all things may go well With you and your children, All fears to dispel. You may prolong your days In all the land, by grace, Which the Lord has given In His perfect space. So grow where you’re planted, A seed that becomes strong. Produce the fruit of faith And sing the gospel song. Deuteronomy 4:39-40
These words were given to Moses, but are also God’s words to us today. The people had failed God many times, as we often do. God wants us to know who He is. He wants us to know His will for our lives. He wants us to trust, obey, and follow Him. God’s promises are sure and enduring. When we align ourselves with God’s purposes blessings will flow. Seek His will and put Him first in your life.
Today we have God’s spirit within us so that we may become “blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe as you hold firmly to the word of life.” Philippians 2:15-16.
