Valentine’s Day is this Sunday. I am reminded of my school days when I made my own valentine’s cards out of construction paper, cut into the shape of a heart. I gave them to my mom and dad, my friends, my teacher, and my classmates. Today we want to look at God’s valentine. His love continues to be sent into all the world,

What valentine can we send to God? We can give Him our hearts. “My son, give me your heart and let your eyes delight in my ways” Proverbs 23:26

A Pure Heart Create in me a pure heart, So I can clearly see The light of Jesus shining, His holiness in me. May your grace be on my lips In everything I say. Discreet and obedient, Blameless in every way. Turn me away from evil To always do what’s good: Pursuing peace, faith, and love, Seeking them as I should. Will I praise God with my lips When my heart is far away? Will I worship Him in vain, Not meaning what I say? Lord, give me an honest heart That loves You through and through, With actions that always prove My intentions are true. A desire for righteousness, For Your spirit of peace. Allow me to be filled up That my faith will increase. A clean heart will then renew A spirit that’s steadfast. May Your spirit flow through me Like a river so vast. Always call upon the Lord, Out of a heart that’s pure. He will always answer you; Of that you can be sure. Hear the voice and what He says As the Lord speaks to you. Be quiet, still, and listen. His words will then come through. Create in me a pure heart, So I can plainly hear The voice of Jesus calling And His instructions clear.
