Wells of Salvation

Posted on October 16, 2020 by ruthbillingsley

All life is dependent on water. It is a basic part of our daily life. A person may only survive a few days without it. If we are thirsty, we get a glass of water from the sink or the refrigerator. If we are away from home we can go into a store and buy bottled water. It is readily available to us.

Isaiah wrote to people who live in a dry, thirsty desert. They understood the importance of life-saving wells. Salvation is like water. It saves lives when we are in a spiritual desert. God provides the well, but we must use the hand of faith to reach out and draw from its depths. When we dig deep into God’s salvation, we discover God’s amazing grace. It is free and overflowing. It refreshes, cleanses, and gives us strength. Pour biblical truths of faith into your life to draw from God’s well.

Wells of Salvation

I will draw from God’s well.
It gives refreshing joy.
His faithfulness is sure.
His promises employ.

The cool waters of grace
Will comfort and secure.
You can trust in His Word,
For God’s truth will endure.

God's well of salvation!
It will never run dry.
It will cleanse us from sin,
So drink; on God rely.

Everyone can partake.
Salvation is for all.
Proclaim His holy name.
He hears our every call.

With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation.
Isaiah 12:3
