Jesus is Everything

Posted on September 11, 2020 by ruthbillingsley

Who is Jesus?  The Bible tells us the many attributes of Jesus.  Someone has counted 365 different names in the Bible given to our Savior and Lord.  That would be one for every day of the year!  In the book of John alone He is known as the Word (1:1), the Only Begotten Son (1:18), the Lamb of God (1:29), the Messiah (1:41), the Bread of Life (6:35), the Light of the World (8:12), I AM (8:58), the Door (10:9), the Good Shepherd (10:11), the Resurrection and the Life (11:25), the Way, the Truth, the Life (14:6), and the True Vine (14:6).

“I am the good shepherd; the good shepherd gives His life for the sheep.”
John 10:11

When God gave us Jesus, He gave us everything, all that we need to face life.  He is God’s greatest promise.  He is our today, and He is all of our tomorrows.

Jesus asked Peter, “Who do you say that I am?” in Matthew 16:15 and He asks us the same question today. What will your answer be?  Always remember that “Jesus is Your Everything.”

 Jesus Is Everything

Jesus is everything
That we will ever need.
Now and for eternity
For us, he’ll intercede.

He’s our comfort when in pain
Our peace when at war
Our hope when all is lost
Our wealth when we are poor

Our life when there is death
Our love when there is hate
Our truth when there are lies
Our way to heaven’s gate

Our rest when we are weary
Our joy when we are sad
Our strength when we are frail
Our praise when we are glad

He’s our song when we are happy
Our voice when we can’t speak
Our eyes when we are blinded
Our ears when they are weak

Our brother when in need
Our friend who’s always there
Our companion when we’re lonely
Our Father, when in prayer

He’s our healer when we’re sick
Our courage when afraid
Our teacher when we fail
Our guide when we have strayed

Our redeemer when in sin
Our key to freedom’s door
Our glory when in heaven
Our crown for evermore

Jesus is everything
That we will ever need.
Now and for eternity
For us, he’ll intercede
