“Why do the nations conspire And the people plot in vain? Kings and rulers take their stand. Against the Lord they reign.” (Psalm 2 "A Book of Psalms")
We have people in our country who are conspiring and plotting in vain. They are taking a stand to solve our problems of social injustice by advocating violence and hate. The media misquotes and misleads the public. Those in authority are dividing a country that needs unity and are blaming others in order to promote their own agendas. Listen to what they are saying! “Make right our injustices! Punish the oppressors! Free the oppressed! Take money from the rich and give it to the poor! Let everyone find their own identity!” We are living in a godless society where wrong is right and right is wrong. Government cannot save us. Social programs cannot save us.

“Let us break their chains that bind And throw off fetters that tie. They strive to be free of God. The Messiah they deny.” (Psalm 2 "A Book of Psalms")
First of all we need to ask, “Where is God in all of this?” He is not! Do not rely on the counsel of those who hate God and have an agenda without Him. Abraham Hamilton III says, “Cries for justice void of the cross will rapidly descend into the pursuit of vengeance.” This is where we are, seeking vengeance by rioting and destroying everything in sight that offends us. Stealing, looting, killing, and threatening are daily occurrences. These are the means of justice that lead to hate and division.

How do we respond to these current tensions in our country today? Let’s look at Proverbs 28:5. “Evil men do not understand justice. But those who seek the Lord understand completely.” The justice of evil men will bring our country down because they are against God. This quote from Abraham Hamilton III is profound,
“The word of God is 100% entirely sufficient to address all things.”
Everything we are experiencing today has answers in God’s word. Matthew 5:9 reminds us that we are to be peacemakers. Do whatever we can to maintain peace in our chaotic environment. How? By first loving God and then loving our neighbors. Who are our neighbors? Everyone. “From one man he made every nation of men” (Acts 17:26). God’s way is equal justice, equal salvation, equal love, equal opportunity to become a follower of Christ. Search the scripture of God’s word. You need nothing else.

Psalm 2 Why do the nations conspire And the people plot in vain? Kings and rulers take their stand. Against the Lord they reign. Let us break their chains that bind And throw off fetters that tie. They strive to be free of God. The Messiah they deny. God enthroned in heaven laughs. He scoffs and ridicules them. He rebukes in His anger. And His terror will condemn. I have established My King On Zion, My holy hill. I will proclaim and command And tell you My perfect will. Today I am your Father. You are now My Son alone. Ask of Me and I will make All of the nations Your own. You will rule with a scepter. Your heritage is the earth. You may dash it to pieces. Like pottery with no worth. Therefore, mighty kings, be wise. From this task do not depart. Serve the holy Lord with fear And rejoice with trembling hearts. Kiss the Son, lest He be angry And you be destroyed in your way. His wrath can flare in a moment So take refuge in Him every day.
