Tomorrow is a special day. June 20, 1970 Bob and I were married in Del City, Oklahoma. Wow, has it been 50 years? How the time has flown by. We have faced many changes over the years. Children and grandchildren, education and careers, houses and cars, travels near and far are only a few of the many changes we have experienced. But some things have not changed, our love for one another, our faith in God, and our hope of His divine providence in all things.
I remember our wedding day, how I was so nervous I was sick to my stomach, but when we got on the plane to go on that special trip, I could relax and enjoy our new adventure. Since that day, it has been one great adventure after another. How far we have come. As we look back over the years and think about what we have accomplished together, we realize that our greatest joy comes when we see our children and grandchildren accomplish their dreams and see their bright futures. We pray that the values we have shown them will be passed on to future generations.
Our advice for a successful marriage is when things are looking down, look up! The Lord God will guide you to trust in His way, His power, His strength, for without Him, we can do nothing. His love in us is a powerful presence that guides us to love one another.
“Two are better than one…if either of them falls down, one can help the other up.” Ecclesiastes 4:9-10

One day at a time, We know it is true So trust in His grace To see our way through. Through all He has planned, The good and the bad, The ups and the downs, The funny and sad. He is there for us. He’s waiting to bless. Our lives will reflect Love and happiness.
