There is a season for everything. A time to plant and a time of harvest. Have you planted your garden yet this year? It takes a lot of work. You first prepare the soil, decide on what you want to grow, and then put the seeds or plants into the soil. I have had a garden for a few years. It takes time to pull weeds, water, and keep the plants healthy. Not an easy task! Yet, it is worth it, as you see everything grow into what it was meant to be. Watching God’s miracle of a bountiful harvest is a blessing.

I like to think of my grandchildren as a garden. Most important of all, each one needs to be planted firmly in God’s word, then nourished and encouraged to grow into what God has made them to be. They are planted with love, watered with Christ’s living water, weeded in times when circumstances cause them harm, and at last they experience a harvest time when they are mature and set free. Free to be used by God to reach their full potential and pursue their hopes and dreams. What a beautiful garden!

Psalm 128 Blessed are those who fear the Lord, Who walk in all of God's ways. You'll eat the fruit of your labor, And prosper all of your days. Your wife is like a fruitful vine, So your home will benefit. Your sons will be like olive shoots. Around your table they sit. The man is blessed who fears the Lord. The Lord will bless all his days. He'll see Jerusalem prosper, And on his grandchildren gaze.
